GoPro Set Free Into Sky Above Thanet

On Sunday 8th June 2014 we launched a Go Pro Hero 3+ from Broadstairs UK into the sky using 40 helium filled balloons and 900ft of braided fishing line. All was going well until the wind took the fishing line across a road and a passing car had snapped the line. With no way to track it the camera was set free never to be seen again. Fortunately for me I left my phone number on the back of the Go Pro incase this situation happened and by miracle 4 hours later I received a call to say it had been found. The camera had been airborne for approximately 1 hour 50 minutes and the battery lasted 1 hour 38 minutes. In the last few minutes of its journey you can see a little red boat which was by the London Array wind farm. The camera splashed down right next to the boat! The people on board were french and didn't know what to do with it so they gave it to a workman at the wind farm who in turn called me that night! Really so lucky to have the Go Pro returned to me and to have this amazing footage. Thanks Tommy for returning the camera to me. You're a top man :-) i'm very lucky.
